Neck Lift Surgery
The neck is one of the most pronounced and visible areas that shows signs of aging. Sagging skin, drooping jowls, double chins and thick muscle banding can make a man or woman look older than they are – or than they feel! While many patients may be generally happy with the appearance of their face – thanks to modern non-invasive skin care treatments – the neck area may still be “giving away their age.”
However, surgical skin tightening and smoothing (“rhytidectomy”) can re-sculpt the neck and the jawline for a considerably more youthful appearance. Neck lifts are a very common, safe and effective plastic surgery procedure.
Sometimes liposuction is performed in conjunction with the neck lift to remove excess fat. Incisions are made under the chin and around the ears, to be as inconspicuous and well-hidden as possible.
