Intense Pulsed Laser (IPL) treatment – sometimes called “PhotoFacial” – offers quick, safe and affordable skin resurfacing treatments.
IPL facials can minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles, reverse signs of UV sun damage, reduce redness and rosacea, and eliminate unwanted pigmentation, spots and discoloration. Unlike most other laser treatments (which can require a few days or a week of recovery including extreme redness, blistering and peeling) an IPL treatment requires no downtime.
IPL PhotoFacial lasers work by delivering rapid, controlled, pulses of specific light frequencies. The light is absorbed by either the brown melanin in the pigmented areas, or the red hemoglobin in the blood cells. The thermal heat energy then destroys the cells where the melanin, pigmentation, or hemoglobin is stored, while leaving the surrounding skin intact.
The body eliminates the destroyed discolored cells, leaving clear, glowing skin – free of dark spots, age spots, sun spots, pigmentation, redness, rosacea, spider veins and lentigines.
