Erbium’s precision delivery system can target even tiny areas and the depth is more precisely controlled than ablative chemical peels. Healing will take approximately 1 week, with redness, mild swelling and some discomfort in the first 1 to 2 days.
The Erbium laser stimulates the growth of new collagen, improving the skin’s thickness, smoothness and elasticity. By removing the top, damaged layer of skin, the Erbium laser activates the production of new, fresh, healthy cells – giving the face a younger, rejuvenated appearance. While Erbium Laser ablation is ideal for people with moderate to deep lines lines and advanced sun damage, it is not recommended for use on darker skin tones due to the risk of hypopigmentation.
